Microsoft is still keeping general Windows Phone and the Lumia specific updates separate as it updates Windows Phone 8, which means that hardware specific updates come at a different cadence to the standard OS updates. When Microsoft and Nokia were two separate companies this made sense, but it is somewhat confusing now in the new Microsoft Devices division.

That being said, the latest Lumia specific update is bringing several fantastic updates to the Lumia Camera apps and photo processing in general. Most of these features are available only on the newer, high-end Lumia devices - the 830, 930 / Icon and 1520.

Luke Rodriguez got his hands on the Denim update and posted a video showing off some new features:

• 4K video recording

• Improved Multi-Shot / Action photos

• Rich Capture

Take a look at his video below for a better view of the difference the Denim update makes on these newer handsets.
