Bargain Alert: Save €30 on the HP Stream 7 Signature Edition, now only €99 at Microsoft Store Irelan

There are a lot of small form factor Windows 8.1 devices coming on to the market, the best currently available is the surprise package from HP, the Stream 7.

Featuring a 7-inch IPS multitouch screen at 1280 x 800 resolution, it has five touch points which is usually more than enough for a device this size. Powered by a quad-core 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z3735G processor it also has 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of SSD storage, of which just under 20GB is free for use on initial install, however storage can be expanded via micro SD card.

The Signature Edition version of the HP Stream 7 ensures that you get the pure Operating System as Microsoft envisioned it - without any trialware or bloatware that may have been installed by HP, to ensure that you can make the most of the default storage on the device.

As an extra, it would seem that (with some considerable technical effort) that it is possible to install the Windows 10 Technical Preview on this device. But the process is not for the faint of heart.
