PlayStation-exclusive The Order:1886 launches tomorrow

Console wars are always interesting. Seeing how people can align themselves with one platform or another and especially what is different about your chosen system. Wheter it's Mode-7 graphics, 16-bit processing, Emotion engine or Xbox Live there is always something that will attract the eye of a particular group of supporters as their defence of choice.

This latest generation of console wars has been fought on many grounds: Always online, Resolution, Frame rate, Price.

One of the other sticking points has been exclusives. Microsoft has had a few to it's name (that weren't just ports of Xbox 360 titles): Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Forza Motorsport 5, Titanfall, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive and with the exception of perhaps Ryse all have showed off the Xbox One and sold console units.

Sony have been a litte further behind with Killzone, Drive Club and Infamous: Second Son being their exclusive line-up. Although, you would do well to remember that Destiny wasn't a PlayStation exclusive due to to PlayStation Exclusive marketing campaign.

It would have been a foolish person to bet against Sony having some quality exclusive titles in store, and one of the most eagerly awaited of these The Order: 1886 drops tomorrow, 20. February. The Order: 1886 is set in an alternate reality London, where an old order of knights keep all of the world safe from half breed monsters, who are a combination of animal and man.

A single-player only affair, The Order is aiming to take a leaf out of other recent AAA titles like the hugely succesful Arkham series, and hope that it's story is enough to attract players and encourage them to stick around.

Sony will be aiming to use this as another weapon in their arsenal to keep a plucky Microsoft at bay.
