TV3 launch 3Player app on Xbox One

Irish Television Broadcaster TV3 surprised Xbox One owners by quietly launched their 3Player app on the console yesterday.

3Player is a free online catch-up service which lets you watch a variety of entertainment, reality and current affairs programs for up to 28 days after they are broadcast on TV3 and sister station 3e. The app allows you to catch up on your recent shows in addition to allowing access to a back catalogue of shows from the TV3 stable.

Competing with newcomer UTV Ireland and the national broadcaster TV3 has expanded it's programming recently to include it's own soap opera, Red Rock, entertainment shows like The Seven O'Clock Show and importing quiz shows like The Chase, The Cube in among other established titles like Xposé, Midday and news titles like the Tonight with Vincent Brown, The 5:30 and 24 Hours to Kill series.

Recently TV3 scored a major coup by managing to encourage hit show The Restaurant to switch sides from RTÉ and join the TV3 line-up

TV3 is understandably proud of their online offering and is the first broadcaster in Ireland to launch a native application on the Xbox console. joining international heavy hitters in the broadcasting and streaming category such as UK TV's Channel 4 or Netflix, YouTube, Crackle, Amazon and Hulu that are also available on the console.

To download 3Player, search for 3Player from the Store on the Xbox One or from SmartGlass on your favourite phone or tablet.
