No 'Uh-Oh' cover for HTC One M9 in Ireland

Last week we reported that HTC in America was offering an outstanding insurance package for all HTC One M9 handsets - if it breaks for any reason within the first year it will be replaced overnight, with very little fuss. Even if you drop it into the toilet and the screen cracks.

We asked a representative of HTC whether a similar package would be available to consumers in Ireland. He confirmed that the "Uh Oh" coverage or any localised equivalent will not be offered and explained that the complexities of the European Market make such an offering difficult compared to the US which is all one region in terms of legal requirements of such an insurance package.

So, unfortunately for most HTC One M9 owners this side of the pond the holding of breath or sudden expressions of hope to whichever deity may be listening when your phone drops continue for another while.

However, as we experienced in our First Impressions the handset is much less slippy and significantly easier to hold on to than 2014's HTC One M8.
