Attracting attention from several key technology firms in Ireland, from Eircom the title sponsor to CPL, Toshiba, Foras na Gaeilge, Granite Digital and SchoolDays.ie.
Owen McGuinness, Retail Channel Manager for Toshiba Ireland a sponsor of the Giga Spider category, describes the benefits of this program “What’s incredible about these projects is that they are produced by children who not only understand how programming works, but also how it can be applied practically. This type of outlook deserves to be rewarded and fostered, as it puts young people on a fruitful career path, even before they go on to third level”
Winners from the Giga category will each receive one of Toshiba’s award winning new Chromebook 2 laptops.
Winners will be announces at an award ceremony taking place on Monday 20th April 2015 at Facebook’s HQ in Dublin, hosted by Aidan Power.
