McLaren and Dell Technologies team up for IT transformation and more

IT's a winning partnership


McLaren, the Formula 1 and Motorsport powerhouse, today announced a strategic, long-term partnership with Dell Technologies to complete their IT Transformation across their organisation.



The McLaren Technology Group just completed the first part of its IT transformation journey towards a high-performing hybrid cloud capability. The partnership will integrate Dell Technologies wide array of solutions into day-to-day operations - including supporting design and manufacturing, trackside operations, telemetry, safety-critical ecosystems, esports and simulation, fan engagement and guest experience.

Advances in Forumla 1 occur at such a fast pace that the technology supporting it needs to keep up or overtake the demands being put on it. Whoever has the edge on the supporting technology front can perhaps pip their rival to the checkered flag.



Dell Technologies, which consists of seven global brands – Dell, Dell EMC, Pivotal, RSA, Secureworks, Virtustream and VMware – will bring its deep technology expertise to all McLaren Technology Group companies, including McLaren Racing and McLaren Applied Technologies, as well as benefitting McLaren’s esports programme, World’s Fastest Gamer.
