Xbox announce Netflix-style subscription Game Pass with 100+ games.
Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, took to Xbox Wire to announce an upcoming subscription-style service for Xbox games, due to launch later this spring.
Xbox Game Pass, seems similar to the very successful EA Access program available for EA games on Xbox One. For a regular fixed fee, gamers can play certain full games and receive a discount when purchasing games.
When it is launched to the public Xbox Game Pass will not be limited to only Microsoft-published titles, the program is expected to have over 100 games from publishers such as 2K, 505 Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, SNK CORPORATION, THQ Nordic GmbH, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft Studios.
Games available as part of the offering will span Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles through backwards compatibility.
Certain Xbox Insiders on the Alpha preview ring will begin receiving invitations to participate in the program starting today and their feedback will be used to refine the program before it officially releases later in the spring.
