Go West, gamers.

Galway’s biggest ever gaming and YouTuber event, taking place this November 11th & 12th at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, has announced the involvement of a number of leading international brands including Trust Gaming and Ubisoft.

GamerFest 17, which will deliver a packed program of entertainment, promises to be an awe inspiring celebration of gaming and YouTubers for visitors of all ages and abilities. Central to proceedings will be the GamerFest Live Stage, which will feature exciting Virtual Reality challenges and gaming competitions over the course of the two day event, with extensive prizes and giveaways available for those attending. Special guests attending the Live Stage include All Cast Irish Gamers, Antitinerbell, Barry Dunne aka Nintendo Impact Gamer and Naoise O’Hare aka Retro Gaming Ireland.

In addition to the Live Stage entertainment, organisers have also announced the attendance at the event of leading international brand, Trust Gaming, who will offer visitors a unique opportunity to sample the very latest in gaming equipment within an extensive gaming area, featuring both Xbox and PS4 consoles and games. Trust Gaming are also excited to bring a range of merchandise and products for visitor prizes and giveaways, including gaming headsets and cutting edge speaker systems.

In another exciting development for visitors, the eagerly awaited Assassin’s Creed Origins game will also be central to proceedings, with the game’s publishers, Ubisoft, offering a limited edition version of the game, Assassin’s Creed God’s Edition on XBox One, to the winner of the Assassin’s Creed cosplay competition. Interest in the competition is expected to be particularly strong, with the limited edition game offering the lucky winner additional missions and weapons, as well as maps, art book, soundtrack and statue of the main character, Bayek.

The convention will also dedicate a significant area to the hugely popular retro gaming craze, featuring consoles such as the Mega Drive and Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
