Sony launches pocket-sized mobile projector

Versatile Projector turns almost any surface into a screen

A projector the size of a mobile phone, fitting comfortably in your hand and capable of projecting content up to 120-inches in size from a distance of 3.5m. That is what Sony is bringing to Europe this Spring.

The MP-CD1 weighs only 280g and can turn any surface into a wide screen, with almost silent operation, it can be ideal for on-the-go presentations, outdoor events movie nights in. Content can be taken from a range of sources through the HDMI connector and an optional HDMI dongle can enable wireless connectivity to smartphones, tablets, etc.

A 5,000 mAh built-in battery should last for about two hours, according to Sony, but a simple USB-C connector means that the projector can be used for longer.

Priced at about €400, the MP-CD1 should hit Irish shores sometime next month (April 2018).
